Two separate entities, the House of Hope Ministry and the Columbia Basin Foundation, had agreed to become the fiscal agent for the awarded ARPA funds. Unfortunately, however, both withdrew involvement. Establishing a like-minded, local 501c3 fiscal agent partner to establish a men"s Sober Living Home has been challenging, and an ongoing pursuit to find such a partner would expend time we don't have. We have located a 501c3 fiscal agent partner in Seattle for the initiating of a rapid response OUD transportation service October 11, 2024. Currently, we are waiting for their next -step administration instructions. By reallocating $44,000 of the original $72,000 ARPA grant, we can provide amuch-needed transportation service for Grant County residents (and/or visitors) who presently struggle with opioid use disorder (OUD) or substance use disorder (SUD). It appears that finding a 501 c3 partnership, for such a needed transportation service, is far different that establishing a 501 c3 partner for a Sober Living Transformation House. Good Afternoon, I have an inspiration about redrafting the ARPA application in order to share those resources. Instead of the $72,000 for a Transitional House pilot program - I would reapply for $44,000 to provide a much -needed service to those struggling with Opioid/Fentanyl addition in the region. This would free up $28,000 for those two other non -profits. I bumped into Rob Tuesday morning and briefly hinted about the needed program.
