To: Board of County Commissioners Re: Fairgrounds Capital Projects Commissioners, Grant County Central Services POBox 37 Ephrata WA 98823 (509) 754-2011 Ext-3276 October 3, 2024 Central Services had numerous fairgrounds projects this year that, once bid, we awarded well under their budget, leaving us a budget surplus that I would like to utilize for safety, security, and general enhancements at the fairgrounds. These projects have been competitively priced, and we are following all policy requirements for the work. Accounting is OK with using these funds; the projects will be added to the CFP where needed. The j roects are as follows, P ECO Blocks purchase $9,749-00 (10o eco blocks and delivery for crowd control, safety, and security) Huck Fuller Electrical Panel Replacement (Electrical Safety) $6,894.81 Tree Removal (more dead or dying trees) $21,099.00 4H Countertop replacement $6,200.00 Barn 46/47 rolling gates $6,066.90 Exhibit Building Lighting $16,806.81 Purchase of 6o security cameras and associated hardware. $l00,000 This work totals $160,616.52. Doingthis now allows us to get a head start on our safety and security response before next year, and much of this work will be done throughout the winter.
