Several weeks ago, during our heat wave, the aging air conditioning unit at the Grant Count Museum failed.
With the heat wave approaching and the State issuing a critical heat advisory, we didn't have time to perform a
proper bid to complete the work. Initially, the expected cost was over $5,000, requiring secondary approval by
the County Commissioners.
After discussing this at a round table, the Board directed us to make the necessary repairs. This letter
memorializes those conversations.
Those repairs have been completed. The total cost was less as we could replace parts instead of the entire unit:
$3,793.45, including tax. Huntwork Enterprises LLC, from Soap Lake, WA, performed the work.
Central Services thanks the Board of County Commissioners for understanding the need to diverge from
standard policy and support the department.
Sincerely,
