In the Offender unit, there are currently 263 cases, with 174 of them falling under the category of Diversion. ii. TRUANCY: Presently, we have 249 active petitions, with a total of 235 stays in effect. Throughout the current school year, 270 stays have been filed, 87 stays have been lifted, and 73 cases of contempt of court have been filed. Additionally, there are 83 extended stays, and 176 cases have been dismissed this school year. iii. DEPENDENCY: The dependency unit is conducting regular docket hearings, offering the flexibility of participation through WebEx or in person. As of now, our dependency unit manages a total of 160 active cases. Among these, 110 are assigned to staff, 38 cases are delegated to volunteers, and 12 cases are actively monitored. The monitored cases, while still active, involve individuals with legal representation, eliminating the necessity for a Guardian ad Litem (GAL). 4) Chelan: I maintain bi-weekly meetings with Chelan to collaboratively address any emerging issues. 5) Administration: We are currently awaiting the contract from AOC regarding the new position of Family & Juvenile Court Coordinator. We anticipate posting the job opening in mid-July, with the goal of making a hire effective September 1st. 6) Needs of the Department: Our new courtroom flooring has been installed. Facilities and Maintenance were able to come in this morning to ensure everything is correctly connected and functioning properly. As the project is now complete, we will resume our normal court hearings in Juvenile.
