El YES D NO 9 N/A tj - 1 DATE OF ACTION:S — Z-1DEFERRED OR CONTINUED TO: APPROVE: DENIED ABSTAIN D1: D2: D3: 4/23/24 May 15, 2024 Ephrata s ingto Chamber f Commerce Grant County Commissioners 35 C St. NW Ephrata, WA 98823 RE: Ephrata Chamber of Commerce Sage -N -Sun 112th Sage -N -Sun Festival Grant County Commissioners: The Sage -N -Sun Festival committee is putting together another exciting event for the 112th Sage -N -Sun Festival. For entertainment in 2022 we began with a Tribute Band to Creedence Clearwater Revival which was a huge success. Last year we brought in a Tribute Band to Aerosmith as our Saturday night entertainment. This year we plan to work with more "local" bands. We are bringing in for Friday night entertainment Kosta la Vista from Spokane and area bands. Saturday night headliner is the Olson Bros Band from Olympia along with Hometown Hooligans and The Funk. We are asking to utilize "C" street as well as Division as we have done in the past. The Beer Garden will again be on Division and C streets. Permits have been applied for through both the City and Liquor Board. We have in the past requested the use of the surrounding parking lots around the courthouse on the south side and north side for entertainment, along with lots E & F along with the new county building lot (Northrups) to be available beginning on Friday the 7th through Sunday morning with cleanup completed by 11 am. We would also like to use the Courthouse power between the hours of 6 am to 11:30 pm on Friday June 7 and from 8amto midnight June 8. Ephrata Chamber of Commerce is also hosting the Kiddie parade on June 6th and would like to use the courthouse lawn for free ice cream for the parade participants. We are excited to build this event and hope to see it continue to grow. With the assistance of Grant County, we can make this happen.
