As you are aware, New Hope Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Crime Victim Services is one of the
.agencies 'includ.ed'in a regional Domestic Violence Housing First (DV•I-IF) demonstration project with three
other agencies (Benton/Franklin; Yakima and Lower'Valley). 'The purpose of DVHF is tointegrateinto. the
agency structure the four pillars of DVH*F,mo-del-: survivor.drive,n advocacy, flexible financial assistance,
community engagement and housing stability. As a region, the agencies. collaborate and work cooperatively
to explore and plan for potential regionalization of domes -tic violence survivor services, -which includes, but is
not limited to, crisis response, sheltering capacity and process, transportation, co -advocacy, -outreach efforts
to marginalized communities and housing resources and -systems.
Each agency in the region will receive flexible financial assistance. funds, by the contract administrator,
Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence -*(W.SCADV). These funds are to be used by -each
individual agency. to support. survivors of domestic violence and their children with specific housing and service
needs, tailored to the situation and strengths of the survivors and their children. The funds will be dispersed
from New Hope directly to the provider for rent, childcare, transportation expenses, employment expenses.
The funds will be used in whatever way is best in order for the survivors to obtain.and/or retain housing.
Clients -and their advocates will :complete a fo'rm requ-esting funds and the request will be reviewed by a team
in ord-er to determine approval of dispersal of funds. The funds will be tracked in a- manner according to
WSCADY, b-ut also in- accordance with any Grant County policies.
New Hope will receive $22,'500..00 each year,, from February 2016, through December 31, 2019, to provide the
flexible financial -assistance to its clients.
New Ho -pe is in receipt of the initial ,$22,500.00 from WSCADV. For -this contract, funds must be available
immediately, so New Hope intends on using -the Revolving 'Fund for this purpose. Therefore, to -accommodate
the amount received, New Hope is asking the Revolving Fund limit be increased to $10,000 — with $5,000.00.
