It is SB 5843 which, at the time of this letter, is in our view an intrusion into our county's internet security and our decision-making responsibility. Washington's Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs seems intent on forcing a device known as the Albert Sensor onto the secure servers of every county in the state. As our Administrative Director of Central Services, Tom Gaines, has stated in his letter to you, we are very concerned about installing on our servers a device that we have no control over, and which monitors our already secure servers in an intrusive way. It is being sold as something that helps with election security, but our election technology is not connected to the internet so therefore, we would ask the question, "Just what is this monitoring?" We respectfully ask you to read his more thorough analysis and we also ask for a "no" vote if and when SB 5 843 comes before you in the House of Representatives. Any influence you can exert on your fellow representatives to do the same would also be sincerely appreciated. Very Respectfully, BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Danny .Stone, Vice Chair z Rob Jps.-rer Danny E.
