AUDITOR'S STAFF
WE the Grant County Canvassing Board, acting under authority given in RCW 29A.60,
WAC 434-262-015, do hereby authorize the following persons:
Robin Rutty Kaylyn Orozco Aleanah Lopez
to act as our representatives. Their duties shall include issuing vote by mail ballots,
mailing vote by mail ballots, inventory of vote by mail ballots, securing vote by mail
ballots to be issued; and vote by mail ballots that have been voted and returned; examine
the postmark, receipt mark, date of oath and statement on the outer envelope containing
the vote by mail ballots; and to verify that the voter's signature thereon is the same as that
on the original application. This may be done prior to Election Day. The same
representatives will also make the determinations on the problems concerning the

precinct and whether or not the ballot should be submitted to the Canvassing Board for
further action. The Canvassing Board shall decide all unresolved issues concerning
questioned ballots.
Further, the same representatives, according to Canvassing Board Policy and Procedures,
Section 4; & Section 5.b, will duplicate the unreadable ballots. This procedure will be
advertised in a legal paper for the general public and the chairs of the major political
parties will also be notified of the exact time and place that the duplications will be done.
The same representatives will conduct the auditing functions of the election records,
(ballot control record, transport carrier log, audit report, etc.) after each election. Such
auditing functions will contribute to the final certification of the election.
