LETTER OF AGREEMENT
BOYD MORDHORST MEMORIAL (SHOOTING) RANGE
This LETTER OF AGREEMENT, herein under referred to as the "Agreement" made and
entered into as of the I st day of January, 2024; by and between the "EPHRATA
SPORTSMEN'S ASSOCIATION" Whose address is P.O. Box 342, Ephrata, Alva. 98823
for "it's" heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereinafter called the
Landlord, and the Grant County Sheriff's Office hereinafter called the Tenant.
WITNESSETH: The parties hereto for the consideration hereinafter mentioned covenant
and agree as follows:
2. The landlord hereby rents to the Tenant the followin9 described premises,
Boyd Mordhorst Firing Range for department qualifications and other formal firearms use
and activities. Tenant shall submit a schedule for ALL training dates and times.
EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RANGE BY The Grant County Sheriff's Department WILL
ONLY BE AFTER PREARRANGED SCHEDULING WITH THE LANDLORD.
3. This agreement shall be in effect. for the Period beginning on January 1, 2024 through
December 31, 2024.
4. The Tenant shall, pay the Landlord for the premises at the following rate: Nine hundred
Dollars ($900.00) per year maintenance fee for the use of the range during this contract.
Payment shall be made at the beginning of each year, prior to the Issuance of keys.
5. This understanding may be, terminated by, either party hereto by giving written notice not
less than sixty (60) days prior to the effective date of termination, in Which event rental
shall be prorated to the date of termination.
6. The Tenant shall not permit the use of the premises by anyone other than the Tenant
and the agents or servants of the Tenant.
7., Tenant agrees to pay for any damages to range property or equipment caused by the
negligence of their employees while using the Range.
8. Tenant agrees that it will not leave the gate open., and or unlocked except on its
scheduled training days,
9. Tenant shall not bring with them to the range anyone other than the Tenant and the
agents or servants of the Tenant,,

10. Tenant will share the Range with ALL other Tenants unless EXCLUSIVE USE HAS
PREVIOUSLY BEEN GRANTED IN WRITING FOR THAT DAY AND TIME.
11. It is understood and agreed that this AGREEMENT is solely for the benefit of the parties
hereto and gives no right to any other party. No joint venture or partnership is formed as
a result of this AGREEMENT. Each party hereto agrees to be responsible and assumes
liability for its own wrongful or negligent acts or omissions, or those of its officers, agents,
or employees to the fullest extent of the law, and agrees to save, indemnify, defend, or
hold the other party harmless from any such liability. In case of negligence of both the
Tenant and the EPHRATA SPORTSMEN'S ASSOCIATON, any damages shall be levied
in proportion to the percentage of negligence attributed to each party, and each party
shall have the right to seek contribution from the other party in proportion to the
percentage of negligence attributable to the other party,
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The parties hereto have subscribed their names
EPHRATA SPORTSMEN'S ASSN.
