IN THE MATTER OF REVISING
THE GRANT COUNTY SOLID
WASTE MANAGEMENT FUND
-DISPOSAL FEE SCHEDULE
RESOLUTION NO. 90 -116 -CC
REVISING RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, pursuant to an Interlocal Agreement dated
November 15, 1974, Grant County was designated the lead agency to
provide, operate, and maintain a County -wide Solid Waste Disposal
System; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said agreement, Grant County
acquired a number of sanitary landfills, other facilities,
equipment and supplies, all of which belong to Grant County, in
order to establish the Solid Waste Disposal System; and,
WHEREAS, the funds required to operate the Grant County
Solid Waste Disposal System should be derived from disposal fees
collected from users of the system; and,
WHEREAS, Grant County commissioned the services of R.W.
Beck and Associates, a consulting firm, in 1984 to update the Grant
County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan, said update to
include a review of disposal fees and the allocation of disposal
system costs; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Grant County Commissioners by
Resolution No. 85 -134 -CC did create a Grant County Solid Waste
Advisory Committee with the authority to set users fees required to
fund the Solid Waste Disposal System; and,
WHEREAS, said Committee, on September 24, 1990, did
review the upgated�disposal system cost information; and,
WHEREAS, after such review, the Solid Waste Advisory
Committee did approve an increase in the disposal fees required to
fund the current operation of the disposal system,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, in accordance with the
action taken by the Grant County Solid Waste Advisory Committee,
that effective January 1, 1991, the fees for disposal privileges at
Grant County operated Solid Waste Disposal facilities shall be as
follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County reserves the
right to refuse to accept any So-jid Waste brought to any County
disposal facility which is classified as dangerous or hazardous by
the Federal Environmental Protection Agency or any wastes brought
to a dropbox facility which exceeds the County's handling
capability either due to volume or weight.
