Week of JanBary 16,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase for the Chief Deputy
in the Coroners Office to $300.00 per month effective January 1,1990.
The Commissioners approved the purchase of a 40 megabyte hard disk
for the Dispatch PC computers.
The Commissioners approved the 7% salary increase for the Grant County
Mental Health employees.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Debra Murray in the Mental
Health Office at $18,939 per year effective February 1,1990.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Jeffrey Block of the Assessors
Office at $1216 per month effective January 4,1990.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Laure Grammer of the
Assessors Office at $1466 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Irene Scott of
the District Court Office at $1186.20 effective January 1,1990.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Colleen Irwin of the Co-
operative Extension office at $7.50 per hour.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding
Bid Opening on Cars, Pickups and Utility Vehicles, Bid Authorization -
Backhoe, Tractor Moser & Pneumatic Roller, Bid Award recommendation -
Stratford & 'A' SE Bridges, Solid Waste -Committee Appointments and
Ground Water Monitoring.
The Commissioners approved the recommendations of the Public Works
Director and awarded the bid for Bridge 4399 and 4157 to Dellinger Enter-
prises,Inc. of Kennewick in the amount of $242,115.45.
The Commissioners signed the Authorization to call for bids on
January 30,1990 for one pneumatic roller, one tractor with mower, and
one tractor with backhoe.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Vouchers
412- through 12-45 in the total amount of $18,562.25.
The Commissioners appointed Wayne Hampton and Mac Mclanahan to
serve as Grant County representatives on the Regional Advisory Committee
for preparation of Moderate Risk Waste Plan for Grant, Adams, and Lincoln
Counties.
The Commissioners held a bid opebing on vehicles, a motion was made
that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their rec-
ommendations. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in-cthe list filed in the Auditors Office 1/16/90
in the total amount of $209,152.19.
The Commissioners signed a Working Agreement between the Grant
County Sheriff Department and the Teamsters Union for the 1989-1990 years.
The Commissioners met with various Department Heads and Elected
Officials regarding matters of mutual concern.
The Commissioners met with members of the Historical Society regarding
completion of projects begun in the Centennial year.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
January 22,1990.
