Week of January 29,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. Commissioner Chandler was in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Goodwin was out of town.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation
or Work Interruption of Caroline M. Fisher of the Grant County Fair Office.
The Commissioners appointed Doug Berg to serve on the Adams County
CPN Committee regarding dangerous waste sites.
The Commissioners approved the request of Frances Brown, Administrator
of the Grant County Alcohol & Drug Center to close March 1 and 2 since
they will be moving to their new location on those dates.
The Commissioners approved the request of Ed Forster of the Cooper-
ative Extension Office to purchase equipment related to the climato-
logical data program.
The Commissioners drafted a letter to the State Department of Cor-
rection regarding siting of prisons.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 1/29/90
in the total amount of $125,788.24.
As there was no further business the session was continued until
January 30,1990.

The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Chamberlain and
Commissioner Chandler in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding
Solid Waste -Moderate Risk Planning Grant, Monitoring Well Grant Appli-
cation, Bid Openings on Backhoe, Mower and Pneumatic Roller, and
Personnel issues.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Voucher Approval list
#1 through 1-2 in the total amount of $11,759.24.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign an Agreement with the
State of Washington, Department of Ecology regarding a Hazardous Waste
Planning Grant.
Bids were opened on a Backhoe, Mower and Pneumatic Roller, a motion
was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Chamberlain
that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their rec-
comendations.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the
month of January in the total amount of $153751.17.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
February 5,1990.
