Week of February 5,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at
9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners
were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Terri Yeager of the Pro-
secutors office at $6.00 per hour effective January 24,1990.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Ethel Dull of the Pro-
secutms Office at $10.00 per hour effective January 23,1990.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Deborah Kern of the
Juvenile Porbation Department at $1440 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Martina Orman of the
District Court Department at $1,186.20 per month effective February
1,1990.
The Commissioners signed the Warrants list for January salarys
437282 thru 437630.
The Commissioners were notified that Grant County's application
for Local Development Matching Funds in the amount of $25,000 for
the study of economic impact and potential causes of poor fishing
conditions in Moses Lake was approved.
The Commissioners received a memorandum regarding the agreement
between the Prosecutors Office and Stephen J. Hallstrom on medical
coverage.
The Commissioners were notified by the Noxious Weed Control Board
that Mick Qualls was resigning his position on the Board. They request
that the CommiasiOners, appoint Rollin Toya to fill the position.
The Commissioners signed the 1990 Dispatch Agreement with the
Town of Warden and Hospital District 441.
The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Bob Mosher to
travel to Tooele County, Utah regarding computer software.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commis-
sioner Chandler that Resolution Number 90 -8 -CC supporting mental health
proviso to the supplemental budget funding North Central and North Sound
Regional Support Networks be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners met with various Department Heads and Elected
Officials regarding matters of mutual concern.
As there was no further business the session was continued until
February 6,1990.

The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commis-
sioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding
Bid Recommendation on Pneumatic Roller, Bid Authorization of Herbicide
Materials, Rock Rakes, Pavement Patcher, and Asphalt Crack Sealer/Melter,
Contract Execution on C&V Auto bid on Sedans, Road Problems on "D.5" NE,
and Maple Drive and Personnel issues.
The Commissioners approved the Public Works recommendation to
award the Roller bid to Sahlberg Equipment in the amount of $35,203.17.
The Commissioners signed a contract with Ron Weber Chevrolet for
2 small cab pickups in the total amount of $30,810.34.
The Commissioners signed a contract with C & V Auto Sales for
five 4 -door sedans in the total amount of $60,195.96.
The Commissioners signed Authorization to Call for Bids on Herb-
icide Materials -1990, Rock Rakes, Pavement Patcher, and Asphalt Crack
Sealer/Melter. Bids will be opened February 20,1990.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of Appendix A of the
Memorandum of Agreement between Washington State University Cooperative
Extension and Grant County.
A Public Meeting was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Goodwin that Resolution Number
90 -9 -CC in the matter of amending the Grant County Zoning Ordinance
Industrial and Commercial Zoning Districts be passed. The motion
carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for pay-
ment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 2/5/90 in the total
amount of $135,394.54.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
February 12,1990.
