Week of February 20,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order by
Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attend-
ance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Stephen J. Hallstrom of
the Prosecuting Attorney's Office at $3045 per month effective Feb-
ruary 1,1990.
The Commissioners approved the request of Bill Wiester to freeze
his sick and annual leave as of January 31,1990.
The Commissioners appointed Donna Roe to a position on the Grant
County Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding
RAP Submittals(Emergent Projects), Cooperative Purchasing Agreement -
City of Tacoma, Contract Execution-Loader/Backhoe, Bid Openings -10:00
Herbicides, 10:10,Rock Rakes, 10:15 Pavement Patcher, 10:20 Crack
Sealer/Melter, 10:30 -Mel Clink(Clink Addition), and Personnel matters.
The Commissioners signed a contract with Case Power and Equipment,
regarding the purchase of a loader and backhoe.
There was a bid opening for Herbicides, Rock Rakes, Pavement Patcher,
and Crack Sealer/Melter. The bids were referred to the Public Works
Department for their recommendations.
The Commissioners met with Melvin Clink regarding his Preliminary
Plat. It was determined that the Commissioners could not by law extend
the time on his Preliminary Plat at this time.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for pay-
ment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office
for 2/20/90 in the total amount of $58,072.32.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Com-
missioner Chamberlain that Resolution Number 90 -13 -CC setting a Public
Hearing regarding an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the
Current Expense Fund, Capital Expenditures Department in the amount
of $75,000 be passed. The motion carried. Public Hearing will be
held March 13,1990 at 1:30 p.m.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Liquor License
for Fuller Dry Falls Mini Mart.
The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Zone Change request
of Bob Holloway of Ephrata for March 12,1990 at 1:30 p.m.
The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the proposed vacation
of roads and alleyways within the Plat entitled resurvey of and addition
to the Town of Trinidad.
The Commissioners signed 1990 Dispatch Services Agreements with
Grant County Fire District #10,Town of Coulee City, Grant County Fire
District #3, and McKay Memorial Hospital.
The Commissioners signed the Payroll Warrants List for January
#37672 thru 38014.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
February 26,1990.
