Week of April 2,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. Commissioner Gary Chandler and Commissioner
Chamberlain were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner
Goodwin was out of the office.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners approved the request of Dispatcher Sonja Anzelini
for seven working days leave without pay beginning May 27 -June 5,1990
to visit family overseas.
The Commissioners approved the salary of David Greenwalt of the Sheriff's
Office at $1200 per month beginning April 1,1990. They also approve the salary
of Connie Wyatt of the same department at the salary of $1200 per month
effective April 2,1990.
The Commissioners approved the attendance of Kathleen Holloway and
Mary Speck at Dispatcher Training on Emergency Medical Dispatch in
Seattle, May 19-21,1990.
The Commissioners signed 1990 Law Enforcement Agreements with the
Town of Wilson Creek, Town of Marlin, Town of George and the Town of
Hartline. The Agreements were returned to the Sheriff Department.
The Commissioners drafted a letter to Governor Gardner requesting
him to call a special session of the legislature to deal with the Law
and Justice issue.
The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint from Hector Alaniz,
et ux. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner
Chamberlain that Resolution Number 90 -23 -CC relating to the establishment
of a petty cash/revolving fund for the Clerks Department #001-105 be passed.
The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner
Chamberlain that Resolution Number 9024 -CC relating to the establishment
of a petty cash/revolving fund for the District Court Dept. #001-102
be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners met with various Department Heads, Elected Officials
and others regarding matters of mutual concern.
The continuation of the Public Meeting on the Baker Zone change was
tabled until further information is received.
As there was no further business the session was continued until
April 3,1990.
April 3,1990
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Commissioner Chamberlain and
Commissioner Chandler in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding the
Transportation Study -Financing Agreement, Contract Execution -Inland Oil
and North Central Petroleum, Freeway Exit Names, Road Discussion, and
Personnel matters.
The Commissioners signed a contract with North Central Petroleum
for the 1990 fuel purchases.
The Commissioners signed a contract with Inland Oil Company regarding
1990 fuel purchases.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the financing agreement
on the WSDOT Urban Transportation Study.
The Commissioners signed the Warrants list 438438 thru 38791.
The Commissioners authorized out of state travel for Chief Deputy
Michael Shay to attend the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Application for
re -sale of tax title property made by Phillip R. Griesse.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 4/2/90 in the total amount
of $209,359.03.
The Commissioners met with the Upper Grant Conservation District
regarding matters of mutual concern.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
April 9,1990.
