Week of June 18,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at
9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners
were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Sue Ramaker of
the Auditors Office to $1337.00 per month effective August 1,1990.
The Commissioners were notified by the Sheriff Department on
information regarding Larry Hively status while on Disability Leave.
The Commissioners were notified by the Prosecuting Attorney
that Paul Klasen will be on the payroll at $400 per month to com-
plete certain civil matters pending at the time he resigned from
office.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Cynthia Buntain of the
Juvenile Department at 90% of position classification.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Maureen Haker of the
Grant County District Court at $1,318 per month effective June 1,1990.
The Commissiners approved the salary increase of Kirsten L.
Jenicek of the Prosecuting Attorneys Office at $1284.30 effective
July 1,1990.
The Commissioners approved the payment of $30,000 to Grant
County Health District as the second quarter payment.
The Commissioners approved the requested 3% salary increase for
all employees of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center effective
July 1,1990. They also approved the salary increase of the agency
Administrator, Frances Brown to $2669 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Anita Weaver of the
Planning Department on a Clerk/Hire basis at the rate of $6.00 per
hour with PIC paying half and the county paying half with no benefits
through the summer.
The Commissioners approved the request of the Sheriff to raise
the rate to $40.00 per day for prisoner board.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of Computer Hardware
Agreement Termination Notice with the Grant County PUD.
The Commissioners received a fully executed copy of Contract
6500-79290 with DSHS and Grant County Mental Health.
The Commissioners met with various Department Heads, Elected
Officials and Employees regarding matters of mutual concern.
The Commissioners met with the Grant County Planning Commission
regarding matters of mutual concern.
As there was no further business the session was continued until
June 19,1990.
June 19,1990
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commis-
sioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Com-
missioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 90 -49 -CC authorizing Grant County
Sheriff to apply to IAC for ORV Fund for the Moses Lake Sand Dunes area
be passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Com-
missioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 90 -50 -CC authorizing Grant
County Sheriff to apply to IAC for ORV Fund for the Grand Coulee ORV
area be passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Com-
missioner Chandler that Resolution Number 90 -51 -CC in the matter of
the PUD Privilege Tax be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Fairgrounds Road, Viewmont Drive(Huck Goodrich), 10:30 Public Hearing,
Six Year Program.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner Chamberlain that Resolution Number
90-52=CC in the matter of adopting a comprehensive six year transport-
ation improvement program for the ensuing six years be passed. The
motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for
payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors
Office 6/18/90 in the total amount of $135,409.13.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
June 25,1990.
