Week of May 8,1989
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order
at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners
were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding
session.
The Commissioners signed the 1989 Agreement for Dispatch
Services with Grant County Fire District #3 and Grant County
Fire District #10.
The Commissioners signed Interlocal Cooperative Agreement
between Grant County, Adams County and Lincoln County for Prepara-
tion of a Regional Local Hazardous Waste Plan.
The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Zone Change
request by James Eddie for May 23,1989 at 1:30 p.m.
The Commissioners received a letter from Environmental Security
Corporation regarding developing a Citizen's Committee on the Dangerous
Waste Site project.
The Commissioners received information from Department of
Ecology regarding the CPN.
As there was no further business the session was continued
until May 9,1989.

The session was continued at 8:30 a.m. with all of the
Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners held a Staff Meeting regarding Sales Tax
Revenue, Union Negotiations status, Flood Exercise & Emergency In-
formation, Phone lines and 1-800 number, Risk Management and the
Insurance Fund, Grant County Fair Booth, Policy Handbook project.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Karen Denton
of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center to $1236 per month
effective May 1,1989.
The Commissioners received the resignation of Donald Martin
as a member of the Centennial Committee.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department con-
cerning Flood Repair-Triniday Creek, Award Recommendation 15' SW
and Beverly -Burke, Bid Authorization 'K' NE, 10:00 a.m. Bid Opening
on Auctioneering Services, Road Tour '9' NE, Tyndall Extended, Atwood
Road and others of interest.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by
Commissioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -45 -CC in the
matter of establishing a certain County Road named Gloyd Road
be passed. The motion carried. Public Hearing on the matter
will be held June 6,1989 at 10:00 a.m.

The Commissioners signed an Authorization to Call for Bids
on CRP No. 89-1 and 89-2, K -NE Rd. Reconstruction. Bid opening to
be held May 30,1989 at 10:00 a.m.
The Commissioners notified North Central Construction that
they were awarded the contract for the 'S' SW Road/ Beverly Burke
Road Reconstruction in the amount of $505,075.10.
The Commissioners held a bid opening on Auctioneering Services,
a motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner
Chander that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for
their recommendations.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign an application
for re -sale of tax title property in Section 2, Township 21, Range
23 that belongs to Grant County. Date of Sale will be May 26,1989
at 10:00 a.m.
The Commissioners signed the payroll for the month of April.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve
for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the
Auditors Office May 5,1989 in the total amount of $141,412.12.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned
until May 15,1989.
