RESOLUTION INITIATING COUNTY RESOLUTION No. 23- -CC
ROAD PROJECT DESIGNATED AS
CRP NO. 23-04
WHEREAS, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT Baseline W. Road (Silica Road to 0.13 Miles West of
V -SW), State Road Log No. 93000 milepost 0.0 to milepost 0.87 be improved as follows:
This project will widen and overlay Baseline W. Road from Silica Road heading East 0.87 Miles.
The new roadway will have a finished width of 42' with 0.25' thick Hot Mix Asphalt finished
surface.
This project is hereby declared to be a public necessity and the County Road Engineer is hereby ordered
and authorized to report and proceed thereon as by law provided. (RCW 36.75.050, 36.80.030,
36.80.070)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road
fund budget and based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the
purposes shown:

HOW IS THIS GRANT CRITICAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS EVENT?*
The County Road network directly accessing the Gorge Amphitheatre requires long-term
improvements for both the *preservation* of existing road infrastructure and long-term *capacity*
improvements. The Gorge Amphitheater is a major draw for lodging tax creation in our community
and supporting the Amphitheater with LTAC funded roadway capacity improvements is a good use of
these funds.
Grant County Public Works is requesting LTAC funding in the amount of $600,000, which along with a
matching 15% provided by the Road Fund, will Overlay and Widen Baseline Road NW for
approximately one mile and provide additional queuing capacity for amphitheater events.

WHAT WILL FUNDS BE USED FOR?*
Grant County Public Works is requesting LTAC funding in the amount of $600,000, which along with a
matching 15% provided by the Road Fund, will Overlay and Widen Baseline Road NW for
approximately one mile and provide additional queuing capacity for amphitheater events.
Please be specific about what these funds will be used for. This information will be consistent with
your contract and request for reimbursement.
