This amount is a specific value for Lydig's preconstruction services. As we also were approved by CPARB to perform this project with an ECCM and MCCM (Electrical and mechanical construction manager). These firms (Arc Electric and MacDonald Miller, respectively) also had to provide a total for preconstruction services. That fee was $40,000 each. Both contractors work under Lydig and not directly with the County, and due to this, Lydig's preconstruction services contract needs to be amended to reflect the $80,000 increase for the two companies (combined) Attached is the amendment to the contract, which has been reviewed by Perkins and Coie, the law firm retained by the County to ensure we meet all requirements for GCCM services under the RCW and are ready for signature by the BOCC. Director of Central Services G-1 P1 ANT• tgaines@grantcountywa.gov "To meet current and future needs, serving together with public and private entities, while fostering a respectful and successful work environment" AMENDMENT #1 TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ECCIVI & MCCM PRECONSTRUCTION Pursuant to the AIA A133-2019 Agreement, December XX, 2022 (Agreement), between Grant County (Owner) and Lydig Construction,, Inc. (Construction Manager), for the New Grant County Jail & Law and Justice Building Remodel Project (the Project), the Owner and the Construction Manager agree to amend the Agreement to (1) add mechanical and electrical alternative subcontracting to the existing preconstruction scope of services, and (2) revise the Construction Manager's Preconstruction Services Cost to account for these added preconstruction services. Except as expressly modified by this Amendment #1,, the terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect, ARTICLE I: SCOPE The Construction Manager's preconstruction services are hereby amended to include designated preconstruction services performed by mechanical (MC/CM) and electrical (EC/CM) subcontractors added to the Project through the Alternative Subcontractor Selection Process approved by the Project Review Committee and authorized under RCW 39.10.385. All preconstruction services performed by the MC/CM and EC/CM subcontractors shall be subject to the Owner's approval. ARTICLE II: PRICE The not -to -exceed Preconstruction Services Cost established pursuant to Section 5.1.1 of the Agreement shall be increased by the amount of $80,.000 to a total of $280,000 (not including WEST} to account for the MC/CM and EC/CM"s preconstruction fees and the Construction Manager's management and oversight over these subcontractors" preconstruction services. In accordance with Section 5.1.1 of the Agreement, the revised Preconstruction Services Cost shall be paid on an hourly basis up to the not -to -exceed amount and any savings shall revert to the Owner, The MC/CM and EC/CM's preconstruction fees are further detailed as follows: MC/CM: Preconstruction Fee $40,000 + WSST M Preconstruction Fee $40o,000 + WSST Amendment 1 to the Agreement Page 1 of 2 Total Amendment No. 1 $80,000 + WSST Except as authorized by this Amendment, the Construction Manager shall be entitled to no other compensation in connection with the Project unless the Owner and the Construction Manager execute a future GMP Amendment.
