Vasquez, Clerk of the Board Chris Young, Director of Development Services Jim Cook, Assistant Director of Development Services Public: See sign in sheet PART 1 The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider amending the Grant County Development Services Land Use Application and Permit Fee Schedule. Jim Cook, Deputy Development Services Director stated that in 2022 the Board voted to revisit this annually and base the amounts off the Consumer Price I-ndex (CPI) from December 2021— December 2022. It was 6.5% but they decided to cap it at 5% with a "not to exceed" of 25% total for 5 years. Also, they reviewed the subdivision fee schedule, they elected to modify the the amount to have a preliminary subdivision fee of $1260 plus $55 per lot up to 100 lots. 101 lots and above, there is a 25% reduction of the permit fee. Also included new is a "plan review fee" of 50% of the permit fee and a "flood plane development permit fee" of $150. Jerry Martens, from the Building Industry, suggested looking at consistency and timing of pricing and streaming the process. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter to approve the Land Use Application and Permit Fee Schedule as presented. Commissioner Jones seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. PART 2 The Commissioners continued the Open Record Public Hearing to consider a fee schedule for Grant County Development Services Building Fee and Fire Permit Fee Schedule. Chris Young, Development Services Director discussed their recommendations. (The recording is very difficult to understand). Jerry Martens stated again, from the Building Industry suggested looking at consistency and timing of pricing and streaming the process. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter to approve the Building and Fire Permit Fee Schedules as presented. Commissioner Jones seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance.
