SPORT Program Participation and Stipend Approval
This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by and between Teamsters Local No. 760, representing the
recognized employees of the Administrative Unit and Clinical Unit, hereinafter referred to as the "Union", and
Grant County, Washington, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer".
SPORT Prevention Plus Wellness (SPORT) is single -session brief intervention that is launching by September 2020.
Topics associated with the program are adolescent development, physical activity, stress management, athletics,
healthy eating, and sleep.
Grant County need to recruit four (4) Facilitators to provide this direct service to Quincy School District students.
For this pilot run, the caseload and stipend amount is smaller than the typical rate. Those selected will receive a
stipend of $500 for a caseload of 10 students. During a one-week span Facilitators will meet once with each
student. All work hours for this program will be performed outside of normal work hours.
Grant County wishes to select Facilitators from existing staff to provide them access to the additional
compensation and opportunity.
Through this document the parties agree that:
1. The Union will agree that Grant County may select union -represented personnel to serve as Facilitators
for this program.
2. Participants will be fully compensated through the $500.00 stipend following the expectations of the
funding grant.
3. This stand-alone program will not be considered union work, subject to the collective bargaining
agreement, or the CBA's dispute resolution process.
4. This agreement is for 2020 only. Should the program be renewed for a subsequent year, Grant County
agrees to provide renewed details for consideration.
