RESOLUTION VACATING unbuilt RESOLUTION No. 20- S -CC
County right-of-way as shown in New
Trinidad SW1/4 of the SW1/4 in Section 7,
Township 20 N, Range 23 E.W.M.
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, has received a petition to vacate portions of
certain County road and rights-of-way described as follows:
Legal description: Grant County Rights-of-way: That portion of the New Town of Trinidad
Streets and Alley's recorded under Auditor's file number 4126 recorded July 26th, 1910 situated
in the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 7, Township 20 North, Range 23
East W.M., south of Wall Street, also known as Fine Wine Rd., and North of the south line of
said section 7 and Northwesterly of the Great Northern Railway now Burlington Northern
Railway;
All of Fulton Street adjoining Blocks 281), 291), 321), 331), TOGETHER WITH the West half of
Walnut Ave. adjoining Blocks 291), and 321), TOGETHER WITH all of Broadway Ave.
adjoining to Blocks 281), 291), 321), 331), TOGETHER WITH the Northside of State Street
adjoining Blocks 321), and 33D lying between the West line of section 7 and the Northerly line
of said Burlington Northern Rail Road and North of the South line section 7, TOGETHER
WITH the East half of Columbia Ave., all in Grant County, and
AS SHOWN on ATTACHED EXHIBIT A, and
WHEREAS, a notice of hearing on the report for vacation and abandonment was published
in the County official newspaper at least once a week for two consecutive weeks preceding the date
fixed for the hearing; and a copy of said notice was posted for at least twenty days preceding the date
fixed for hearing at each termini of the county road or portion thereof to be vacated or abandoned;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners did consider the report given by the
County Road Engineer, together with any evidence for or objection against said vacation and
abandonment; and

WHEREAS the above described County right-of-way is not useful as part of the County
road system and the public will be benefitted by the vacation and abandonment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board
of Commissioners, APPROVE: VACATING all interest in the County road and right-of-way as
described above; EXCEPT any existing easement to accommodate existing power lines,
communications lines and other franchised a or permitted public and private utilities.
