For some time GCTS has done all in their ability to keep the audio and recording systems for the
Superior Court located in Youth Services Ephrata location operating for a long time.
The system has finally reached a point where it is no longer serviceable and not practical for the
Superior Court to try and either manage or utilize to record their hearings.
Central Services has reached out to an authorized vendor of the Biamp product used in all other
Courtrooms and the BOCC hearing room. We have received a price from EVCO Sound and
Electronics in the amount of $7,410.00 and is requesting a budget extension from ;ic
funds for this purchase.
This system requires an authorized installer for the purchase and installation and as such a forma
bid process is not feasible. The purchase and installation, however, are found on a cooperative
purchasing contract the County is authorized to use. (King County Directors Association or
KCDA)
Central Services is requesting the Boards permission to go forward with this purchase and
installation which will provide the needed technology for the Superior Court to continue
functioning as it should at the Youth Services Courtroom.
Respectfully Submitted,
