NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS
Sealed bids plainly marked "Bid for Steel Canopy Body" will be received by Grant County at the Grant
County Public Works Office located in Ephrata, WA. 124 Enterprise Street, Ephrata, WA 98823, until 9:00
A.M., Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 and will then and there in the Public Meeting Room be opened and
publicly read.
This contract provides for furnishing and delivering a Steel Canopy Body in accordance with the plans
and specifications.
Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained from the Public Works Department at no
charge. Informational copies of the maps, plans, and specifications are on file for inspection at the
Public Works Department of Grant County, 124 Enterprise St. SE, Ephrata, WA 98823.
The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, reserves the right to reject any and
all bids. The award of this proposal, if made, may be made in whole or in part as determined to be in
the best interest of Grant County.
The improvement for which bids will be received are as follows:
Bid Specifications for Steel Canopy Body
General Specifications
This spec is patterned after the Knapheide KC7132H2O94 Steel Canopy Body.
- 133.25" L x 94"W x 90" H (40" H side compartments) - 20" side compartment depth - Curbside
Horizontal (RH) compartment extends to rear of body -14 and 16 gauge galvanneal steel body shell —
Keyed alike stainless steel paddle handles with rotary style latches - Master locking system installed on
both sides of body - Transverse -style L V 1 compartment extends to the back of R V 1- (2) adjustable
divider shelves in R V 1 compartment - (2) adjustable divider shelves in each L V 2 and R V 2
compartment - (1) bolt t- in divider shelf in R H compartment - (1) adjustable divider shelf in each L R
and RR compartment - Double -panel galvanneal doors on rear of canopy (20 gauge outer, 14 gauge
inner): - 49.5"W x 63.1" H clear door opening dimensions - Solid panel; no glass/ glass guards - 71.1"
interior clear height - (2) L E D interior dome lights - (2) full length shelves on each side of canopy
Interior - 6 -year limited warranty - Electro- immersion epoxy primer process - Fully undercoated
(Acrylic) - LED stop, tail, turn, and back-up lights - Chassis -specific install kit (loose): = Includes chassis -
specific wiring harness adapter - 94"W Galva -grip bumper (loose) with hitch recess and K nap Liner
coating - Canopy upper side doors with 3 -point twist latches
- Rear chute doors deleted - 94" wide knaplined Galva -grip step bumper
Install Knapheide dual rear wheel KUV cc canopy body as follows: - S/T /T lights - Mud flaps - (1) fuel
spout - (2) interior dome lights - Standard bumper
Paint 132" K U V cc canopy body urethane: Ford paint code PQ 1 Exhaust extension to bring exhaust out
flush
with the body 1 Class V receiver hitch installed as follows: - 24,000 Ib. maximum trailer weight,, 1,600 Ib.
maximum vertical load - 2" receiver tube with pin and clip - Includes pin with cotter - Powder coated
black 17 -way trailer socket, RV style with flat blades 1LED compartment light strips in all
compartments for an 8 compartment service body - High intensity LED light strips mounted on each side
of the compartment - Wired to existing chassis upfitter switch 1 C T E H .D . Aluminum 7 -drawer unit
installed as follows: LV2 - 14" w x 32"h x 16"d - (4) -3", (2) -5", and (1) -7" removable drawers —

Install customer's existing Miller Bobcat 250 welder in LV1/ transverse compartment - Plumb exhaust up
through canopy top 1 110v GFI electric outlet on rear of body wired to customer supplied welder
(No inverter) Install (4) Whelen WHL31HAF LED beacon lights as follows: - Weld mounting plates to
canopy - (2) at the front corners of canopy body - (2) at rear corners of the canopy - Install LED beacon
light on mounting plates and wire to chassis upfitter switch 1 Install Ford Factory Backup Camera 1
Dominator Liner red, front of body 1 Speed Liner 1000 black, cargo area floor and tailgate
Speed Liner 1000 black, cargo area sides
