Our Patrol staff have utilized Axon body cameras for approximately 4 years, they have proven beneficial documenting incidents, thus avoiding costly litigious allegations. This equipment can be purchased from revenue generated from inmate commissary. Inmate commissary revenues are funds very specific as to what they can be spent on, this purchase would fit the criteria. We have cut cost by sharing the actual body cameras between crews, and not assigning one to each Corrections Deputy.
