The Sheriff Office (Emergency Management Division) is currently in receipt of two
grants from the U.S., Department of Homeland Security (HLS) through the State
Emergency Management Division (WAEMD). It is referred to as the Homeland
Security Grant Program (HSGP). The contract numbers are E18-160 for the FY2017
for $64,780 and E19-110 for FY2018 in the amount of $35,220. The county revenue
code is 333970400.
The Sheriff s Office has received authority from Washington State EMD grants
division to purchase the mobile command vehicle. The mobile command vehicle will
be utilized for on scene monitoring of county wide emergencies and or disasters. The
mobile command vehicle will also be available to other law enforcement agencies that
may need. it for a crime scenes or other deployments. This gives us the opportunity to
reach out to all of our county partners, and make sure the Grant County Sheriff s
Office EMD is being utilized county wide.
Our intent is to purchase this vehicle from Arlington County Virginia Police
Department. The Grant County Sheriff s Office EMD will make the purchase once
approved by the BOCC.
Below I have added an image of the vehicle that will be purchased through the,
Homeland Security Grant. . Ck:"--#i V
