NW building $33,000.00 • Parking lot repair & paint W.R. & M.L. Substation $46,224.00 The evidence room on F ST NW in Ephrata is housing evidence from high profile cases and the roof is leaking. The original request for this capital item was $33,000.00 and this was based on an estimate we received. Since this project was originally under $35,000; the contract would be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as indicated in RCW.- 39.04.155. We sent out a request for proposal and received the lowest bid from North Central Construction in the amount of $39,682.35 which is $6,682.35 over budget. The Parking Lot repair & paint is needing repair at both the Work Release Facility and the Moses Lake Substation. There are large cracks and portions of the pavement is coming apart. A formal bid process was completed and the only returned bid was from Quality Paving Inc. in the amount of $37,843.00, which is $8,381.00 under budget With the Parking Lot Repair & Paint lowest bid coming under the original Capital Outlay budget and the Evidence Room Remodel lowest bid over the original Capital Outlay budget, I'm requesting to transfer the overage funds to cover the Evidence Room Remodel project.
