POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as Grant Integrated Services (GrIS) Prevention and Education Program
Coordinator for the "Strengthening Families" and similar projects funded through State dollars such as
Prevention, SOR, and others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following examples of duties and accountabilities illustrate the general range of tasks assigned to
the position but are not intended to define the limits of required duties. Other essential duties may be
assigned consistent with the general scope of the position. Employee must comply with all County and
department policies, procedures, WAC's, or other regulatory bodies.
• Lead dynamic training sessions and family building event;
• Maintain training session data, including but not limited to attendance rosters, evaluations,
reporting documents for project integrity;
• Encourage participants to seek "one-on-one" case management sessions to provide necessary
support and direction;
• Arranges program/project/event locations in various communities;
• Schedules session dates;
• Manages survey administration and fidelity observations for program/project integrity;
• Arranges transportation, graduation, and childcare;
• Prepares and maintains all program/project documentation;
• Oversees Group Facilitator and Childcare personnel; and
• Perform related duties as needed to ensure project success.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and LICENSING
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability

desired skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable

Required:
Incumbents are required to have demonstrated substantial knowledge and abilities in these areas:
• Bachelor's Degree or at least (2) two years' experience in program coordination with families.
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Fluent written and oral Spanish communication skills;
• Knowledge of community resources;
• Customer service skills;
• Experience facilitating public meetings and other public forums;
• Personal computer operation with standard office software;
• Maintain high degree of confidentiality;
• Valid Washington State Driver's License: Must have a safe reliable vehicle with proof of
automobile insurance
• Background Check: Must have an acceptable background report, at time of hire and every three
years afterward
• Ability to attend evening and weekend sessions and Coalition meetings as needed.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES / WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of work is performed in an office environment. During peak times, incumbents may be
confronted with conflicting work priorities. Work includes evening and weekend hours.
