Re: SIP Advisory Committee Recommendations on SIP Nos. 2019-02
through 2019-05
The SIP Advisory Committee met on April 26, 2019 to review and make
recommendations on the above -referenced projects. The Committee's
recommendations were provided to the BOCC via email on May 6, 2019 and a copy of
the Committee's letter is attached to this Memo. These projects are set for BOCC action
on May 13, 2019:
SIP Project #2019-02: Port of Mattawa — Wahluke Industrial Park: 2019 Rock
Excavation, Earth Moving & Grading Project. The Committee's recommendation to
the BOCC to deny the Port's request and encourage to seek CERB funds.
Action: The BOCC APPROVES or DISAPPROVES the recommendation of the
SIP Advisory Committee to deny the Port's request for funding of a $39,800 grant
at this time:

2. SIP Project #2019-03: Port of Moses Lake — Sewer Extension to Grant County
International Airport Infield from Westside Employment Center. The Port's
request is for $200,000 grant in SIP funding. The SIP Advisory Committee's
recommendation to the BOCC is to approve $150,000 in SIP grant funding.
Action: The BOCC APPROVES or DISAPPROVES the recommendation of the
SIP Advisory Committee to approve the Port's request for a $150,000 in grant
funding:

3. SIP Project #2019-04: City of George — Well No. 3 Generator. The City's request is
for $175,000 grant in SIP funding. The SIP Advisory Committee's recommendation to
the BOCC is to approve $122,500 in SIP grant funding and approve $52,500 in loan
funding.
Action: The BOCC APPROVES or DISAPPROVES the recommendation of the
SIP Advisory Committee to approve $122,500 in grant funding and $52,500 in
loan funding:

4. SIP Project #2019-05: Port of Quincy — Industrial Park No. 4 Tract 6 Frontage
Improvements. The Port's request is for $133,500 grant in SIP funding and
$133,500 for loan. The SIP Advisory Committee's recommendation to the BOCC is
to approve $133,500 in SIP grant funding and no loan funding.
Action: The BOCC APPROVES or DISAPPROVES the recommendation of the
SIP Advisory Committee to approve a $133,500 grant and deny loan funding:
