He received an all - expense paid, invitational to the Public Safety Communications Research Stakeholder Meeting, held in Chicago, IL, July 9-11, 2019. The 3 -day conference presents the development and work of PSCR over the last year and the plans moving ahead. The PSCR as a division of National Institute of Standards and Technology is doing and funding research for data networks and applications designed to support public safety. What is PSCRD? Since 2002, the Public Safety Communications Research Program has worked to drive innovation and advance public safety communication technologies through cutting-edge Research and Development. PSCR works directly with first responders and the solver community to address public safety's urgent need to access the same broadband communications and state-of-the-art technologies that consumers on commercial networks now expect. Jon will bring back information that will be valuable to both first responders as well as our IT department. He will depart on July 81, 2019 and return July 121, 2019 receiving a total of 24 training hours. Thank you for your considerations.
