As per the resolution creating an eligibility list of architectural and engineering firms and further by
selecting Bernardo & Wills Architects (BWA) as the most eligible A&E firm to perform these services
for the County;
Central Services requests the Boards authorization for a task order to be provided to Bernardo and Wills
for the design and bid documents for the new fire suppression system for the ArdelI Arena located at the
Gant County Fairgrounds.
As per the master agreement with BWA this task order is limited to $75,000.00 and cannot rise above this
dollar amount without approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
The task order is attached to the request.

The scope and services covered by this authorization shall be performed in accordance with all the terms and conditions
agreed to within the master agreement signed between the County and the Firm represented above.
The County hereby requests and authorizes the Contractor to perform the following services:
Please provide design and engineering for a new fire suppression system in the Ardell Arena, Located on the Grant
County Fairgrounds in Moses Lake WA. Services to include:
Background: the Ardell Arena is a 35,000 square foot arena with an occupancy limited to 300 persons due to the lack of
fire suppression system. The County wishes to maximize the occupancy of the building and provide a fire suppression
system to cover the entirety of the building.
• Design and engineer a new fire suppression system
• Provide design drawings suitable for bid documents
• Provide specifications for bid documents
• Provide the ability to respond to Requests for Information during the bid and project timelines.
Grant County will perform the bid, bid opening, selection of contractor(s), project management and project
administration.
Timeline: Project should be completed with certificate of occupancy no later than June 30th 2019
Compensation to be paid in accordance with and subject to the limitations in section 4.A of the Master Agreement. In
addition, the total cost of the above described work shall not exceed $75,000.00 without advanced amendment of this
task order.
