WHEREAS, Grant County and Thomas Wolfstone entered into a professional
services agreement for the purpose of providing legal representation to indigent
individuals in the juvenile division of the Grant County Superior Court; effective January
1,2023;and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the parties that Grant County,
through the Board of County Commissioners have entered into an agreement to house
juveniles who are detained for Grant County at the Chelan County Juvenile Detention
Facility; and
WHERAS, the second paragraph under section 5 titled "COMPENSATION"
contains provision travel compensation when contracted attorneys travel to Martin Hall
for necessary visits with their clients and there are no provisions for travel to Chelan
County Detention Facility-, and
WHEREAS, there are significant differences between the travel mileage and time
for such travel; and
WHEREAS the parties wish to correct the Professional Service's Agreement to
reflect this change,
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties enter into this Addendum to the aforementioned
agreement to change in full the second paragraph under section 5 titled
"COMPENSATION" as follows:

The Defender shall receive additional compensation for travel to the Chelan
County Juvenile Detention Facility for in-person consultation with assigned
clients in the amount of One Hundred Fifty and No/ 100 Dollars ($150.00) for
each necessary round trip between Grant County, Washington and the Chelan
County Juvenile Detention Facility. This amount is a flat fee that considers and is
inclusive of mileage and any other ancillary costs. If the case for which travel is
made is one which qualifies for extraordinary case credit per this agreement, the
time spent with the client may be counted as time worked for the purpose of
calculating the credit. The travel time will not be counted for such credit as it is
compensated for herein.

This addendum does not alter any of the other contractual provisions of the
above -referenced AGREEMENT; it is entered into solely to address the aforementioned
issue. All other terms and conditions of the AGREEMENT remain in full force and
effect.
