The requirements for chair rentals are changing. We are wanting to add an updated chair to our offerings. A white, resin, folding chair is coming in more and more and we have an opportunity to quickly recoup our investment. The chairs rent for $3 each compared to our Black chairs at $2.50 and folding chairs at $1.75, although I am going to propose a simplification of pricing in a future consent agenda item. I requested three bids, two from our purchasing co-op through KCDA and one from our own vendor roster. The bid was for 400 resin folding chairs delivered. The highest was Global, through KCDA at $15,208.59. The next bid was from Mitylite at $13,296.30, also from KCDA The best price was through Folding Chairs 4 Less, on our vendor roster, at $9799,69.
