Fairgrounds update agenda for 2/16/2021
Planned equestrian events
• State approved plan
Staffing status
• Filling the Events Coordinator Position - timing
• Holding back on seasonals
• Office staff going off of furlough the first week in March
Additional events for 2021
I think we need to be conservative in launching new events in 2021
But for later in the year or next year
• Discussions about a tribute band festival in the Fall
• Dia de los Muertos
• Movie Nights —These were a break-even or even slight loss proposition
• Car show — But will it make money?
• Central Washington Brewfest?
• Horse clinic planned for September of this year
Fair Planning
• More musical acts, less grounds entertainment
• Conservative on spending
• Example, holding back $30k in the entertainment budget
• Reducing rental equipment where possible
• Waiting for word on premium funding from the State
