Sheriff's Office, hereinafter referred to as the 9 I'Uivon", and Grant County., Washington, hereinafter referred -to as the "Employer". 'In. June of 2019 the 'Union arid the Employer signed an agreement settling an unf air labor T practice complaint ER Case No. 131.213-U-18, and -the originating grievance. A component of this settlement included a calculation of "past compensation"r resulting from hours paid January 1, 201.8through the date in. 2019 that the new payroll schedule -was implemented. The intent was to complete an. audit of both 2018 and 2019 -' 'prior to providing any Payment for ""Past compensation"" since the net result could. involve overpayments and. underpayments that would need -to be totaled. The Employer agreed to pay each employee for the net result of the combined 2018 and 2019 audit should the net result show an ti_ nderpayment but to take no action if the net result showed an overpayrrient. The audit for 2018 was conipleted. The audit for 2019 leas not been completed due to the -time necessary to implement the needed time and attendance system as well as the unexpected impact of COVIN -19. The Union. and. the Employer have agreed to move for -ward with payment of the result of the 2018 audit alone at 'this time with the intent to maintain a. positive working relationship. The Union, aid Employer will set an agreed. upon schedule for the audit of 2019 and those results will. be paid separately.
