MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
.2.02.3 Enhancement Funds/Retention Incentive
This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by and between Teamsters Local No. 7601
representing the recognized employees of the Case Manaaement Unit, Intake &,- Crisis Unit, SUD
Counselors and Therapy Services Unit, hereinafter referred to as the "Union and Grant COUnty,
Washinc ton , hereinafter referred to as the "Employer".
In September 201.2, Grant County received "Enhancement Funds" from the Washington State
Health Care Authority.e miarl ed. for Behavioral Health Work -force Stabilization (retention. and
recruitment), The County has received $806.234.1.3 'in these funds that are ready to be dispersed
to staff. The County will provide a one-time incentive payment to all eligible employees in the
following manner:
a) A one-time $8,000 Retention incentive payment will be provided to all eligible
individuals represented by Local 760;
b) To be eligible the indiviQUal must be actively employed by Renew as of November 1,
2022 and
c) To be eligible the individual must -agree to maintain employment fturn January I
2012.3 to December 3 1, 2023.
d) A full 'incentive payment will be -Paid to each individual. There will be no proration
per FTE.

Renew agrees to pay, a one-time, lump -sum
Retention Incen tive in an amount equal to $8,000 (the "Retention
Incentive"), all applicable tax reporting and withholding requirements will
apply. In return,, Renew requires, a I- year commitment beginning January 1,
2023, through December 31, 2023. The employee acknowledges and afrees
that 'if voluntarily restuning prior to December 31, 2023, the employee shall
repay the Retention Incewtive 'in full to Grant County within 'DO days of such
Termination event without reduction for any taxes withheld by the Company
upits payment -to you of the Retention Incentive.

Exceptions for repayment may include: In the event that a long-term employee
plans to retire between January 1, 2023, and December 3 1, 2023., and has
provided proper adv I ance written notice to the Employer. Also, in the event
that the Employee becomes ill, becomes disabled, and cannot return to work
after signing this agreement.
