1) Financial: $16,188 for a total of 92.5 days in December 2022. Average Used Bed = 2.98. Compared to one year
ago, December 2021, we spent $34.,733 for a total of 210.5 days.

Intakes: Today's Daily Population Report: We currently have 3 juveniles detained in detention. One juvenile for
Assault 11t and Murder 2nd, another juvenile for Malicious Mischief DV and one for Assault 2n,. All of these juveniles
have bail imposed.

L OFFENDER/DIVERSION: All civil and criminal matters are still being held via WebEx, and we only have
in person court hearings for Dispositions and Trials.
ii. TRUANCY: As of January 13th, 2023, we currently have 141 active petitions, 85 total stays, 50 filed so
far this school year, 34 stays lifted,19 contempt of court filed this school year and 50 stay extended
this school year.
DEPENDENCY: The dependency unit is also doing regular docket hearings, via WebEx.
Our dependency unit currently has 232 active cases.
2) Martin Hall: Since Chelan County Commissioner shared the news about new contract with them, I was
able to send the termination notice to Martin Hall and CCCS this last Friday, January 13th, 2023 and is
effective March 1St, 2023.
3) Administration:
I. We will be starting a new Evidence Based Program to reduce recidivism. EET (Employment Education
Training and we will be partnering with skill source.
11. 1 will be having a meeting with Chelan County Administrator and Detention Manager on February 1St,
2023, to get the details and paperwork ready to start with them on March 1St, 2023.
I setup a meeting with the DCYF Administrator and Ephrata Chief of Police on January 18th, 2023 at
9arn at the Juvenile Department to discuss some possible solutions for the kids that are released from
detention if the parents are not willing or able to pick them up. I also invited Kevin McCrae to this
meeting.
IV. We finally have a meeting with HR and the Association on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at 3pm
regarding proposed changes to end stand by and move forward with on-call.
4) Needs of the Department
I hired an internal applicant for the GAL Program Administrator, it was a lateral move. I will be replacing
the GAL vacant position for a Probation Counselor Position, and I will be allocating this position 95% to
GAL duties and 5% to Probation duties.
