This documents permission granted by the Board of County Commissioners
in late 2020 to provide a hiring 'Incentive to attract training lateral hires for
Correction's and Patrol. Effective 01/01/21:
The Sheriff has the authority to set the starting leave bank for lateral
hires into Corrections or Patrol positions at 60 hours.
The employee will choose where to place the 60 hours of leave:
annual leave bank, sick leave bank,, or any combination of the two,
3., The employee will have access to schedule these hours immediately.
4. The leave pro. grams will otherwise follow the ll 'v bargaining
agreement.
