Staff members also worked together to create a new vision, mission, and values. The vision states: "Together we will empower individuals toward recovery as healthy contributing members of our communities." "As staff members who serve our county from six different cities, we wanted to become more cohesive and unite our vision, mission, and values across all locations," said Dell Anderson, Executive Director of Renew. "Because everyone's input is equally important, we all shared our thoughts about what our organization is, can be, and will be. Above all, we want to ensure that Grant County residents and beyond know that we're ready and available to help anyone who could benefit from our wellness or recovery services." An accompanying logo was also created to reflect the six locations of Moses Lake, Ephrata, Grand Coulee, Quincy, Royal City, and Mattawa. The six colored circles in the Renew logo represent the colors found throughout the Columbia Basin. Orange sun, brown for the basalt found across our region, green for agriculture, purple for flora, blue for the Columbia River, and gray for the volcanic rock formations throughout the Columbia Basin. The blue circle has special significance. "Water not only renews our land, but it also renews people," said Juan Padilla, Director of Behavioral Health Services. "Water is life-giving and, like Renew, when it's poured into individuals who need our services, it heals. Our services meet people where they are—coming alongside and helping—so individuals can fulfil their goals and purpose in life. When someone needs behavioral health services, Renew provides highly skilled professionals and equal access in each of our six facilities. Together, we work for the good of Grant County." The vision, mission, and values are the motivation and the strength behind Renew. The mission includes qualities such as caring for the whole person, being cohesive and kind, and growing hope. Values include commitment, compassion, dignity, equality, and respect—treating all people as valued equals and in ways staff themselves would want to be treated. Helping communities to see the benefits of healthier communities serves the whole Grant County region, from employers, to cities, townships, schools—everywhere people are found. "All people have potential and something they can bring to the table," said Cindy Carter, Grant County commissioner. "Access to Renew's behavioral health and wellness services is not only convenient across our region, but it's crucial to the improved overall health of area residents. It's about communities coming together to build relationships and create partnerships across organizational lines. By working together, we can all help fulfill the vision of Renew, not only for patients/customers, but for every resident and visitor to Grant County. Bringing hope and healing to those who can benefit from the services of Renew make all of our communities stronger, and healthier." The services of Renew are available to everyone.
