3:25 p.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a franchise agreement
with Ziply Fiber Northwest dba Ziply Fiber to enter upon, construct, operate and maintain
communications network over/under/across/along certain county roads in Grant County:
Ziply Wire Centers in Grant County - Franchise of all County Road Right of Ways and County
Undeveloped Right of Ways within the boundaries of the Section, Township and Ranges listed

Dave Bren, County Engineer described the application stating it is for telecommunication line, not fiber
like their name would suggest. Public Works recommends approval.
Dave Derting, Engineer Tech, was available to answer any questions.
Jessica with Ziply Fiber was available via Webex to answer any questions.

A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Carter, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones to approve the franchise agreement as
presented. The motion passed unanimously.
