In the 2022 capital budget it was approved to purchase a new mower for the Courthouse campus
as the current one is at end of life and requires constant repairs and is not reliable.
We had tried to get a Bad Boy mower from Agri -Service in Moses Lake, it was ordered back in
January of this year. It still has not delivered and the salesperson can't get a delivery date from
the manufacturer. I then checked back on our second choice, a Skag mower from Outdoor Power
and Repair in Moses Lake. They could only promise a delivery on a 61 -inch deck model of these
which would have been hard to maneuver in some of the areas that need mowing. But Outdoor
Power and Repair was able to get a cost and delivery of a Grasshopper 48" deck zero turn mower
commercial grade unit with a delivery date by early next week.
Therefore, I am asking the Grant County Board of Commissioners for approval to proceed with
the purchase of the Grasshopper Model 124V with 48 -inch deck and mulch kit from Outdoor
Power and Repair in Moses Lake for the cost of $9512.80, tax and delivery is included in this
cost. The cost for the project would be paid from account the Facilities and Maintenance current
expense capital fund for the ZERO Turn, Lawnmower 001.141.00.9112.594186400. This cost is
less than the $10,000 that was budgeted for this purchase.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
F
