Sheriff's Office and Coroner's Office Budget Extensions

3:10 p.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget
extension requests:
Sheriff's Office in the amount of $75,521.12 to purchase qty. 55 —14" Panasonic Toughbook
computers for their vehicles. Technology Services will purchase the units and have agreed to
pay $194,,880.00. The Sheriff's Office is requesting the balance be paid from Law and Justice
Funds (#121)
Sheriff's Office in the amount of $6,567.29 (118.195) to purchase a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe that
will be utilized as the primary backup K9 vehicle.
Coroner's office in the amount of $9,111.21 to purchase lighting for the new Coroner's vehicle.
The Coroner's Office is requesting the balance be paid from Fund (#120). If approved, an ARPA
transfer will be completed.
There were no office representatives in attendance to discuss their requests.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Carter, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones to approve the budget extensions as presented.
The motion passed unanimously.
