RESOLUTION TO APPOINT RESOLUTION No. 22-*D'740*'CC
GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF
WHEREAS, the elected Grant County Sheriff has tendered his resignation, -ective
July 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, The Republican Party completed the process, pursuant to Art II § 15 of the
Washington State Constitution and provided one candidate to the Board of County
Commissioners for an appointment to the position of Sheriff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Interim Ryan Rectenwald is appointed as
Sheriff, effective August 1, 2022. This appointment is effective until such time as a successor is
elected and qualified.

Dear Grant County Commissioners,
In accordance with the process outlined in Article II Section 15 of the Washington State Constitution,
and the by-laws of the Grant County Republican Party; the Grant County Republican Party is pleased to
submit to you the following name, we have advertised the open position and received two applicants
that submitted a package for consideration. Of the two received one withdrew his application for the
recently vacated Grant County Sheriff:
The Grant County PCO's unanimously support Ryan Rectenwald and forward his name for your
consideration for Grant County Sheriff.
Attached please find a copy of the original package submitted by Mr. Rectenwald.
