Fairgrounds and Central Services Budget Extensions

3;-�<p.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget
extension requests:
• Fairgrounds Economic Enhancement Fund #133, Department #184 in the amount of $9.381-88
for the final payment be made to Community Attributes Inc. (CAI) for the Economic Impact
Study that was completed in 2021. Funds will be paid from REET Fund#
133.184.00.9931.531105100; and also, to Fund #116, Department #159 Fairgrounds p g ounds in the
amount of $9,381.88 to transfer these funds.
• Central Services Fund #132, Department #178 in the amount of $34.,102.03 to perform
enhancements to the current MUSCO lighting project at the fairgrounds to add fiber and
network cables to allow the possibility of cameras as well as a new PA system. This will be a
change order to Neppel Electric. Funding will come from REET2 funds
132.178.00.9112.594736214 for this capital project.
Tom Gaines, Central Services Director discussed his request.
Katie Smith, Chief Financial Officer, was available to discuss the Fairgrounds request.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Carter, to close thep ublic
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Carter to approve the budget extensions asp resented.
Katie Smith mentioned that the budget extension for the Fairgrounds Economic Enhancement needs to
be amended to the amount of $7,381.88 as she found $2,000.00 within this fund(133.184)to assist w' with
the expense. The motion passed unanimously, as amended.
