The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget et extension requests: • Central Services Fund #132, Department #178 in the amount of $608,,110.00 from REET 1 to fund the Bathroom Project (CSD2201fg) at the fairgrounds. This project was budgeted but the final bid came in higher than projected. • Central Services Fund #126, Department #168 in the amount of $20,.548.41 from REST 1 funds to fund the Barn Water Addition Project (CSD2202fg) at the fairgrounds. • Central Services Fund #001, Department #112 in the amount of approximately $65,887.96 for the addition of a new Landscaper position in Central Services from fund 001.112.00.0000.518301100. • Superior Court Fund #001, Department #103 in the amount of $109,041.00 to receive funds from Northwest HIDTA Prevention and Treatment Initiative to fund the Drug Court Program for the 2022 calendar year (001.103). • Superior Court Fund #001, Department #103 in the amount of the amount of $122,262.10 to receive Department of Justice grant funds for their Drug Court Program. Tom Gaines, Central Services Director described his requests. The extension request for the bathroom project was originally $608,,110.00 but it was discovered that there was a carryover of funds from 2021. A budget transfer from REET monies, 1St quarter in the amount of $250,,000.00 (126.168) is now being requested. Mr. Gaines stated the barn water addition is a transfer to assist with the expenses; and the Landscaper position was approved in the 2022 budget but he didn't carry it over correctly, so this is being requested. Shareen Laughlin from Superior Court gave a brief description of their request. Katie Smith clarified that the expenses total $99.,669.25 and the DOJ grant was only going to cover $91,669.25. There is a difference of $8,000.00 that will come from Law and Justice funds. The Board determined that the remaining $22,592.85 will also be taken from Law and Justice Funds. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Stone, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones to approve the budget extensions but amending the amount to the bathroom project to $358,110.00 and approving a transfer in the amount of $250.,000.00 from REET funds. Commissioner Stone's connection to Webex was lost. The motion passed by 2 Commissioners. ,0 C'
