Kevin McCrae, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, came to give the Commissioners a
presentation for consideration of being appointed to the Prosecuting Attorney position coming
open, as current Prosecutor Garth Dano is retiring 12/31/2021.

After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones,
to appoint Kevin McCrae as the Prosecuting Attorney beginning January 1, 2022. The motion
passed unanimously.
3:00 p.m. — 3:30 p.m. K Eslinger and S Castro, Public Works Personnel Discussion
Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(f) Commissioner Carter called an Executive Session to order at
3:00 p.m. to go until 3:15 p.m. regarding Personnel Disciplinary Matters. In attendance were
Commissioners Carter, Stone and Jones, Sam Castro, Public Works Director and Kirk Eslinger,
Human Resources Director (via WebEx). The session was continued to 3:25 p.m. And then
continued to 3:30 p.m. Commissioner Carter closed the session at 3:30 p.m.

Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(g) Commissioner Carter called an Executive Session to order at
11:22 a.m. to go until 11:27 a.m. regarding Job Applicant/Evaluation. In attendance were
Commissioners Carter, Stone and Jones, Barbara Vasquez, Clerk of the Board and Kirk Eslinger,
Human Resources Director (via WebEx). The session was continued to 11:43 a.m. Commissioner
Carter closed the session at 11:43 a.m.

A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to approve items 1, 3
through 14, and 16 through 22 on the agenda as presented. Item 2 was denied, and item 15 amended
to increase the amount of the contract to $42,000.00. The motion passed unanimously.
AUDITOR'S OFFICE
1. Payment of vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those
expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090,
as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. (Approved in the amounts of

amount of $703,650.00 to purchases new Assessor's Office software and yearly maintenance

Pursuant to RCW 42.30.140(4)(a) Commissioner Carter called an Executive Session to order at
3:01 p.m. to go until 3:31 p.m. regarding Negotiations. In attendance were Commissioners
Carter, Stone and Jones, Tom Gaines, Central Services Director (via WebEx) and Kirk Eslinger,
Human Resources Director (via WebEx). The session was continued to 3:46 p.m. Commissioner
Carter closed the session at 3:46 p.m.
