1) Financial: $34,733 for a total of 210.5 Days in December 2021. Average Used Bed =6.79. Compared to one
year ago, December 2020 we spent $30,,608 for a total of 185.5 days.
2) Intakes: Today's Daily Population Report: We currently have 3 juveniles in detention. We still have the 3
juveniles that are being charged as an adult (1 juvenile for rape of a child 1St and 2 juveniles for murder 11t/
assaultlst) One of the Juveniles will be having disposition on February 14, 2022.
3) Courts:
L OFFENDER/DIVERSION: All civil and criminal matters are still being held via WebEx, and we only
have in person court hearings for Dispositions and Trials.
We are getting a lot of referrals processed from the prosecutor's office. We average around 15
referrals a month. In December we processed 56 referrals and in January we processed so far 34
referrals, so we are going to see a lot more cases coming to court.
ii. TRUANCY: We currently have 90 active petitions, 29 total stays, 30 stays filed this school year, 7
stay lifted and sent to court and 13 contempt of court filed.
DEPENDENCY: The dependency unit is also doing regular docket hearings, via WebEx. In home
visits are still not allowed due to COVID. Staff continue to meet with youth and families
outside their homes or at the office, following social distancing and PPE protocols. All staff
are required to wear a mask outside of their offices.
4) Martin Hall: We had one transportation issue since my last Martin Hall update.
After talking to Mark Boyer, in this particular incident, they were short staff due to COVID and staff being
quarantined. Since this incident happened, they hired 4 new people to add to the rotation.
5) Administration:
• 1 am still waiting to hear the results from the Environmental Assessment.
• Next mediation hearing will be on January 28, 2022.
• We had one employee test positive, but because she was already quarantining because her daughter
tested positive the week prior to this employee tested positive, she did not have a close contact with
any other employee in our department.
6) Needs of the Department
L We continue to work with Human Resources trying to change job description for Intensive Supervision
Counselor and Probation Counselor. I have a meeting with Decorah Anderson on Thursday, January 27,
2022 at 9:30am to move forward with this project as she is taking over for Matt Morrison.
