HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 18-113-CCBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION TO DECLARE SURPLUS RESOLUTION No. 18- ,3 -CC GRANT COUNTY PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE SCHAWANA PLAT WHEREAS, Grant County owns Parcel #071879000 Lot 7, Block 10 and Parcel #071880000 Lot 8, Block 10, both of the Schawana Plat; and WHEREAS, Grant County has determined that these parcels are no longer needed; and WHEREAS, RC W's 3 6.3 4.010 and 3 9.3 3.020 give the authorization to surplus County Property; and WHEREAS, the value of each parcel as assessed by the Assessor's Office is $1,300.00 per parcel, which allows for the surplus without a public hearing. Below are the answers I received back from our Department of Development Services: What zone are these parcels registered under? The parcels are zoned Rural Community. "Would I be able to build on these par eels? Yes, the lots are buildable or can have a manufactured home placed on them. However, the applicant would also need to obtain the proper approvals from the Health District and Public Works as well as a building permit through Development Services. i what restrictions are there if any when building on them if allowed?, The planning setbacks are 20' from the street and 5' from the side & rear property lines. There are no specific restrictions on the parcels, but there are some requirements that the applicant should be aware of: o The Community of Schwana has their own water system, so the applicant would need to verify that there are available water connections for these properties. o The Health District will review the proposed septic designs & Public Works would make sure that site access is available. Applicant will need to work with these agencies for their approvals. o In addition, most sites in both the Beverly & Schwana communities require a Cultural Resource Survey be performed before the Planning Division can sign off on the building permits. The applicant would have to hire a private consultant to perform the survey. Please let me know if you're still interested and I can discuss this with the Grant County Commissioners on Monday.
