Week of May 30,1989
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners received information from the Sheriff Department
regarding National Casualty Insurance Company bill on the Don Merrill
and Rod W. Wur.l suits. They were both referred to the Prosecuting
Attorney.
The Commissioners approved the Petitions for Property Tax Refund
on the following:
Patrick Kelly #89-24 $90.68
Patrick Kelly #89-25 97.47
Patrick Kelly #89-26 103.24
The Commissioners received notification from the Sheriff concerning
Placement of Rd. 10 NE.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation
or Work Interuption of Donna Greer of the District Court Department,
effective May 31,1989. Also the Notice of Separation of Mary H. Cox
of the Alcohol/Drugs Office effective May 10,1989.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the approval of the
Liquor License of Othello Jaycees, Special Occasion at Airmans Beach.
The Commissioners appointed LaRain Hudson to a position on the
Grant County Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Board.
The Commissioners approved the purchase of Sheriff's Record Book in
the amount of $818.71 from the Capital Outlay budget.
The Commissioners received a summons and complaint regarding Grange
Insurance Association vs Donald C. Franks et ux, et al. The matter was
referred to the Prosecuting Attorney.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commis-
sioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -50 -CC relating to the trans-
fer of funds within the 1989 budget of the Current Expense Fund in the
amount of $121,759 be passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commis-
sioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -51 -CC setting a Public Hearing
regarding the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds
for the Soldiers and Sailors Fund in the amount of $10,000 be passed.
The motion carried. Public Hearing will be held June 26,1989 at
1:30 p.m.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commis-
sioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -52 -CC setting a Public Hearing
regardin the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds
for the Current Expense Fund, Operating Transfers -Out Department in the
amount of $10,000 be passed. The motion tarring. Public Hearing will
be held June 26,1989 at 1:30 p.m.
The Commissioners signed a Notice of Public Hearing regarding
a supplemental budget for Current Expense Fund, Miscellaneous
Government from unanticipated funds in:the amount of $72,990.

The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding
Response to '20' NW, Tire Disposal Charges, RAP Projects, 10:00 a.m.
bid opening('K' NE), Crescent Bar Information.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the RAP Project agree-
ments for construction proposal on the Stratford Rd.,'K' NE,'A' SE,and
'N' NE projects. They were then sent to the CRAB for their signatures.
A Bid Opening was held regarding the 'K' NE Road Reconstruction
project. The bids were referred to the Public Works Department for
their recommendations.
The Commissioners sent a letter to Gerry Ramm regarding the re-
quested extension of Lake View Drive Golf Club Road Northerly to
Road '20 NW.
The Commissioners as of this date approved for payment those vouchers
included in the list filed in the Auditors Office June 26,1989 in the
total amount. of $303,725.77.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Voucher Approval Claims
Fund #5-1 through 5-2 in the total amount of $11,553.85.
The Commissioners met with neighbors of the Champs Winery regarding
problems during the Winery entertainment during the Memorial Day weekend.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
June 5,1989.
