Week of August 7,1989
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order
at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners
were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of
Separation or Work Interruption of Gloria V. Rios of the Mental Health
Office effective July 12,1989.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Anna Rosalie Riley
of the Superior Court Department at $30,384 per year effective July
31,1989.
The Commissioners set public hearings on the following matters
from the Planning Commission:
1. Zone Change request by Bruce Hutsler, et ux, set for August
22,1989 at 2:00 p.m.
2. Preliminary Plat submitted by John Denton, set for August
22,1989 at 2:30 p.m.
3. Zone Change request by Tyler Dean Brown, set for August 22,
1989 at 3:00 p.m.
The Commissioners notified District Court that the travel rate for
Judge Pro-Tems, jurors and witnesses will be .22(, beginning January 1,1990.
The Commissioners met with District Court Judges, Prosecuting Attorney,
and Planning Director regarding tickets for zoning violations.
The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department
Heads regarding matters of mutual concern.
As there was no further business the session was continued until
August 8,1989.
August 8,1989
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Commissioner Chamber-
lain and Commissioner Chandler in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Deborah Kern of the
Juvenile Department at $1280 per month effective August 3,1989.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding
RAP/Gas Tax Report, Potential Bridge Replacement Candidates, Sagebrush
Flats, 10:00 a.m. Darryl Pheasant(Trinidad Property).
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Com-
missioner Chamberlain that Resolution Number 89 -75 -CC setting a Public
Hearing regarding vacation of certain county roads on August 29,1989
at 10:00 a.m. be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Agreement for
Judicial services between Grant County and the Town of Warden.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for
payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office
8/4/89 in the amount of $114,378.56.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for
the Month of July.
The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Depart—
ment Heads regarding matters of mutual concern.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
August 14,1989.
